RFKSpain Debate Virtual 2

This past Thursday the 5th we took part in a virtual debate on economic inequality with students from CIS Madrid - The College For International Studies.

Karen Robinson, our director of the STTP Program at Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, took part as a "special guest speaker." Students, parents of students, and members of the CIS faculty and staff also attended.

The event was the perfect example of how important it is to maintain civil discourse with our fellow citizens, especially in times of great division such as our own. We are proud of these young people and of their ability to debate controversial topics so respectfully. We can all learn from these students.

We thank Dr. Mairin Kelly and Patrick Doherty for organizing the debate and for including us — and, of course, all the students who took part and everyone else who attended.
