During her stay in Galicia, Kerry Kennedy visited the IES Rosalía de Castro in Santiago de Compostela to share a day of dialogue with students and teachers around human rights, democracy and the responsibility of new generations.

The meeting gave students the opportunity to hear an internationally renowned voice in the defense of human dignity and to reflect on such current issues as the importance of critical thinking, civic participation and the defense of truth in times of disinformation and polarization.

The visit underscored a conviction that guides the work of RFK Human Rights: that education is one of the most powerful tools for building fairer, freer and more conscious societies. In this sense, the dialogue with the students of IES Rosalía de Castro was also an invitation to understand human rights not as something distant, but as an everyday task that calls on each person.

At RFK Human Rights Spain, we deeply appreciate the school's welcome and the involvement of its entire educational community. Spaces like this confirm that when a school makes room for conversation, listening and commitment, it becomes a true driving force for democratic citizenship.
