RC Deportivo Fundación and the RFK Human Rights Spain Foundation have signed a framework collaboration agreement to jointly promote educational and social initiatives focused on the promotion of human rights through sport in Galicia.

The agreement was formalized at the ABANCA-RIAZOR Stadium by Massimo Adalberto Benassi, CEO of RC Deportivo, and María Díaz de la Cebosa, president of the RFK Human Rights Spain Foundation. This alliance stems from the shared vision of using the educational, social and community power of sport to bring human rights closer to young people and to society.

Through this agreement, both organizations will work on developing training activities, outreach actions and events that connect sport and physical activity with values such as dignity, respect, equality, responsibility and coexistence. The agreement also lays the groundwork for the implementation of the international Speak Truth to Power program, an initiative of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights aimed at human rights education and awareness.

For RFK Human Rights Spain, this collaboration represents a very special opportunity to continue bringing human rights education to new spaces with highly committed partners. Sport has an enormous capacity to build community, transmit values and open up important conversations with children and young people. In the educational sphere, that capacity can become a powerful tool for working on empathy, justice, inclusion and social commitment.

RC Deportivo Fundación will contribute its knowledge of the educational and social fabric of A Coruña, as well as its closeness to the local community. RFK Human Rights Spain will lead the adaptation and implementation of the program's educational content, with the aim of making the activities useful, accessible and connected to the reality of schools and of the young participants.

This alliance reinforces the commitment of both institutions to an education that is not confined to the classroom and to a sport that goes beyond competition. Promoting human rights through sport means recognizing its value as a space for learning, encounter and social transformation.

At RFK Human Rights Spain we deeply thank RC Deportivo Fundación and Real Club Deportivo de La Coruña for their trust, sensitivity and willingness to build together a project with a positive impact in Galicia.

We continue moving forward with the conviction that human rights education can and must be present in every space where young people grow, live together and learn.
