The gathering held on June 13 at the Sociedad Bilbaína brought together prominent figures from the economic, business, political, social and cultural spheres of the Basque Country.
The RFK Human Rights Spain Foundation presented at the headquarters of the Sociedad Bilbaína its educational program Speak Truth to Power, through which it promotes a comprehensive human rights education for young people in the Basque Country.
The presentation was hosted by the president of the RFK Human Rights Spain Foundation, Dr. María Díaz de la Cebosa, who together with the president of the Mujer Siglo XXI Association, Carmen Miral, welcomed a large representation of prominent figures from the economic, business, political, social and cultural spheres of the Basque Country.
Taking part in the presentation of the educational program were the Regional Minister of Health, Gotzone Sagarduy; the First Deputy Mayor of Bilbao, Amaia Arregi; the Councilor for Development, Xavier Ochandiano; and the Dean of Law at the University of Deusto, Gema Tomás, among others. In addition, the ceremony featured a video testimony from one of the most influential activists in defense of the right to education for children, Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai.
In the presentation of the RFK Human Rights Spain Foundation, a speech by Robert F. Kennedy created by artificial intelligence was introduced through GPT-4, responding to the context and to the social and political situation we face at this moment. As we were able to see, the values that Robert Kennedy championed remain absolutely current, and are once again a guide on which to rely to face the defense of human rights in today's society.
After the presentation and the discussion, a cocktail reception was offered to the attendees at the club's own facilities, where the success of the day was discussed, along with the next joint projects that could be carried out within the Basque Country.
