On December 10, coinciding with International Human Rights Day, the University of Deusto and the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Spain Foundation held the dramatized reading of "Voices from the Dark" by Ariel Dorfman, simultaneously on the Bilbao and San Sebastián campuses.

The work, inspired by the book Speak Truth To Power by Kerry Kennedy, brings together testimonies from human rights defenders around the world and focuses on violations such as torture, slavery, discrimination and ideological persecution, among others.

One of the most valuable elements of the project is its educational dimension: students take part following a training process that includes awareness-raising, analysis of real cases, staging dynamics and ethical debate, with the aim of turning testimony into learning and learning into social conscience.

As the call itself recalled, these voices, staged by young people, invite us to look reality in the face and to ask ourselves what role we want to play in the defense of human dignity.
